WANT TO HELP? www.HappyEndings.us

Are you worn out? Tired of relationships that you give more then get? Do you want someone there just for you? Someone that won't criticize your life? So the dishes aren't done, dust everywhere and your not sure where the vacuum is? Consider a cat! They are low maintenance. Food and a clean litter box (5 minutes work tops) is all they require. A cat returns love! Not unconditional love, but true love all the same! The condition is you must love and treat them with kindness! Treat an animal like crap and they will be crap!

LITTLE ONE

Little One has a cold. I didn't name her or her sister Freddy. They are both white long haired cats with some color of a calico mixed in. Freddy is very friendly and Little One wants to be friendly but is shy. I can pet Little One if I go slow and if I hold her in a towel she let's me pet her as well. So why do I have her? Little One refuses to take her medicine. Okay she will not, no matter how hard you try, take her medicine. It took 2 of them over 10 minutes at the vet's office and they are very good at getting medicine into animals. If they had that much trouble how will Happy Endings cat shelter people do? So I was given Little One and told to make sure she eats and gets her medicine. She has all ready bitten me on the bottom of my hand. You know the part that lays on the steering wheel when your fingers grab the wheel. Well the shot of pain will help keep me awake.  And yes I still have Spatz with me also.

SPATZ

Spatz has found some new ways to screw with me, for instance she likes to bury her food. This is no problem but instead of covering it, Spatz threw it off the night stand like shelf on to my bed then buried it. Found it as soon as I was getting into bed. She also has the amazing ability to hold large amounts of litter in her paws and spread it over large areas. Spatz can leave the box, jump on the bed, onto the night stand thing, and the jump into a cabinet where she deposits her load of litter. On the bright side she's not attacking me as much.

SPATZ

Spatz is either getting used to me and fearing me less or is more confident she can kick my ass so is not that afraid of me. She is not hiding like she used to and is not quite as pissy as she's been in the past when I've tried to pet her. Spatz still smiles and says hi when I go to pet her but I'm still using gloves. It's just that her hellos look like a cobra about to strike. It will help with warmer weather coming because I won't have to take her home or leave the truck run. The more Spatz is in one place the better.

GENERAL

General stuff people should know and pisses me off. Did you know Prescription Diet is a registered trade mark of Hills pet food manufacturers? There is no medicine's in it. It could be sold over the counter. Money, greed and marketing are why it's not. The food works, don't misunderstand my bitch. Vets are the best to diagnose your pets condition and match a food to help, however the food is formulated for that particular problem without medications. Holistic vets, those that don't use prescription drugs often use the same type of ingredients that are in Prescription pet food to treat their clients. I recently had a problem getting flea and tick treatments from a vet. Why? It has no use other then getting rid of fleas and ticks. You can get a cheaper less safe treatment at most stores that sell house hold crap. Why do you need to be a client to buy non- regulated products? I've looked on line and the Food and Drug Administration only regulates the quality of flea and tick treatments not the distribution of them. Same with pet food. What I'm getting at is these prescription items have no actual law or regulation governing them. It's a gouge your pocket book scam.

SUNSHINE &MOONBEAM

Sunshine & Moonbeam have fleas! Now we all have fleas. I woke in the night itching and felt the itching moving! Turned on the light looked down and saw fleas crawling on my arm. I looked to see if I had any flea stuff and of course not. Its winter and fleas are a summer proplem. I tried to go back to sleep but it's hard to sleep in a flea infested bed. I stopped at a Walfart and all they had was Heartz products which I've heard to many bad things about to use. Next was Kmark and since I was in an area with no pet supply place around like a Petco I broke down and bought Heartz flee spray. I did stop at a vet I found but without being a client would not sell me anything. You can't make meth out of it so what's the problem? Greed! They have it and want that vet appointment/ consultation fee on top of the sale. Even the prescription food pisses me off. I know only vets can get it but that's marketing. Get it? High priced specialty food called prescription. Is the food going to kill the animal if they get the wrong stuff? People don't always have the money for the vet appointment and food. The best some can do is buy the food that best matches the symptoms the owners detect. I've looked at prescription food and haven't seen any medicine's in it. Again great marketing. Prescription foods work! They're formulated to help what ever they are prescribed for. Well Spatz, Sunshine and Moonbeam have all been treated and my truck has been flea bombed. Sunshine & Moonbeam are now at the vet.

SUNSHINE & MOONBEAM

Sunshine & Moonbeam were just live trapped in Detroit, Michigan. Sunshine is a dirty brown or orange kitten about 6 months old. It has a very bad eye infection in both eyes and can barely open it's left eye. Moonbeam is a dirty gray or brown tabby. They look like siblings. Moonbeam looks healthy but who knows? I almost had the mom but that will have to wait. With Spatz and now two kittens the truck is full. The kittens are from a large industrial park. They don't seem to want to kill me but not willing to snuggle either. I'm trying not to get bit because then they have to go into quarantine. I will let them calm down and see if I can touch them.

SPATZ

Spatz has absolutely no compassion for me what so ever. I did something the other day I never do, I offered Spatz a piece of chicken off my sandwich. Her nose was going like a bunny rabbits and she licked her upper lip. I reached toward her to set it down and before I could drop it Spatz slapped my hand. I showed her the beads of blood forming on my knuckles. Spatz did not seem to care at all. Her nose was still going so I tried again to give her the piece of chicken. Again she slapped my hand this time racking a claw along my finger. Have you ever seen a cat look smug? So being the bigger person I tossed it at her. And she had the nerve to start looking for more! Cats!
